Project District Development Approval

Purpose:

A Project District Development Approval may be obtained to adopt governing ordinances (PH1, or Phase 1 Approval), preliminary site plans (PH2, or Phase 2 Approval) and final site plans (PH3, or Phase 3 Approval) for development of land designated as a project district on an adopted community plan.

How To Apply:

Complete the Project District Development Approval application packet and submit it to the Department of Planning.  A fully processed Zoning & Flood Confirmation Form must be attached to the application.  Begin the PH application process by filling in the project identification portion of the form and submitting it to the Zoning Administration and Enforcement Division at One Main Plaza Suite 335.  The zoning and flood designations are confirmed and then returned to the applicant for inclusion in the PH packet.

Phase 2 Approvals often expire if construction is not started by a deadline stated in the permit

Fees:
Non-refundable filing fee (see Fee Schedule, Table
A for PH1 and PH2, and Fee Schedule, Table B for PH3) payable to the "County of Maui, Director of Finance".
